The 2019 Leadville BBQ & Brew Festival will be held June 21-22 2019!

The Leadville/Lake County Chamber of Commerce is excited to host a family, fun-filled weekend of tasting BBQ and fine local microbrews, topped off with live music. Along with the BBQ event, there will be a family zone with numerous activities.

All this, only 100 miles from the Denver metro area, on Harrison Ave, the main street in Leadville Colorado, the highest city in Colorado.

Friday morning, the National Anthem at 10:00 AM. Live music on the stage starts at 11:45 AM Friday, at the stage on Harrison Avenue.  And as one might expect, fresh BBQ prepared by some of the countries best pitmasters to indulge your taste buds on. Follow it with a great microbrew to wash it down. As we at the Chamber of Commerce believe this is a family event, to be enjoyed by all ages, we will also be sponsoring a “kids Q” for the children. Starting Friday afternoon, children ages 5 to 15, accompanied by an adult, can compete by cooking a meat of their choosing to be judged and scored for a chance at a trophy and cash.

Music and gorging on some of the best BBQ to be had continues until 10 PM and resumes the next day, Saturday. Starting at 10:00 again, BBQ enthusiasts can again indulge to their heart’s desire. Music continues at 10:45, with an awards ceremony in the afternoon for the BBQ competitors. Food sales continue till 5:00 PM. All competitors are requested to be off the street by 7:30 PM. Want to stay for the weekend? Plenty of camping, hiking, fishing and 4 wheeling available, for you to explore the surrounding mountains in your own unique way.
